It is best that Albatross tells this story
Albatross: Let me begin by introducing another animal from the totem world: Owl
The owl spirit animal is emblematic of a deep connection with wisdom and intuitive knowledge. If you have the owl as totem or power animal, you’re likely to have the ability to see what’s usually hidden to most. When the spirit of the animal guides you, you [understand] the true reality and see beyond illusion and deceit. The owl also offers for those who have it [as] a personal totem the inspiration and guidance necessary to deeply explore the unknown and the magic of life. (Elena Harris, SpiritAnimal.com)
And now to my story:
Owl lives in the wooded ravine behind Eric and Eulalie’s house. They keep their bedroom window at night, even in winter to hear Owl’s call. In the short days before Eric and Eulalie moved from their home to Elizabeth Jean, Owl could hear Eulalie and Eric wondering about their plan to depart. Could they ever be ready? Was it wise to give up so much of what they knew and love for their new journey’s many uncertainties. Late one night after packing yet another box for storage and with their imminent departure nigh, Owl called excitedly from the ravine. As if to dispel any doubt about her message, Owl exclaimed again and again, a singular voice in the night’s silence. Owl urged action. It was time to embark.
